Identity has always been central to the covenant of God. The Scriptures trace genealogies, name tribes, and delineate inheritances. Yet in the last days, confusion reigns: Who is a Jew? Who is Israel? Who are the heirs to the promises?
This chapter investigates the concept of the Thirteenth Tribe, confronting the controversy of lineage, the prophetic role of Dan and Ephraim, and the deeper spiritual identity of God’s true people. It challenges traditional assumptions about ethnicity, royal lineage, and global power, pointing instead to spiritual allegiance as the true marker of inheritance.
The Koestler Thesis and the Ashkenazi Controversy
Arthur Koestler’s book The Thirteenth Tribe stirred controversy by claiming that most Ashkenazi Jews descend from Khazars—a Turkic people who converted to Judaism in the 8th–9th centuries—rather than from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If true, this would mean that many modern Jews are not Semitic by blood but Jewish by conversion.
While this idea remains debated, its implications are prophetic. It forces the Church and the world to reconsider what defines “Israel.” Is it bloodline, belief, covenant, or something else?
The Bible warns that not all who are descended from Israel are Israel (Romans 9:6).
Physical descent means nothing without spiritual rebirth. The real danger lies not in someone’s ancestry but in the false claim to divine authority while rejecting the Son of God.
Yair Davidiy, Khazars, and Scattered Tribes
Contrary to Koestler, some like Yair Davidiy argue that Khazaria was not devoid of true Israelites. The northern tribes, scattered after the Assyrian exile, may have been among those who migrated into the Khazar realm. Hence, it’s possible that both genuine descendants of Israel and Gentile converts lived within Khazaria.
This view aligns with the notion that God preserved His people even in dispersion.
The prophecy in Hosea, “You are not My people, but you shall be called sons of the living God,” (Hosea 1:10) speaks of a re-gathering that defies bloodline assumptions.
Ephraim and Manasseh: The Multitude and the Nation
Genesis 48 records the prophetic blessing of Jacob upon Joseph’s sons:
- Ephraim would become a multitude of nations
- Manasseh would become a great nation
Many British-Israel proponents interpret this as:
- Ephraim = United Kingdom and its commonwealth (a multitude of nations)
- Manasseh = United States (a single great nation)
While this interpretation has critics, it draws attention to the providential rise of these nations as defenders of Christianity and liberty—both now faltering. The blessing of Joseph (Genesis 49:22–26) also suggests spiritual fruitfulness “by a well” and strength “by the Almighty,” fulfilled in nations that historically evangelized and prospered under biblical values.
The Missing Tribes: Dan and Ephraim in Revelation 7.
In Revelation 7, the tribes are listed for the sealing of God’s servants. Two tribes are missing:
- Dan
- Ephraim They are replaced by:
- Joseph (including Ephraim under his name)
- Levi (usually omitted from tribal land inheritance)
Why the exclusion? The golden calves were set up in Dan and Bethel (in Ephraim) (1 Kings 12:28–30). Idolatry disqualified them. Dan is associated with judgment and apostasy:
“Dan shall be a serpent by the way…” —Genesis 49:17
Ephraim is described by Hosea as “joined to idols” (Hosea 4:17).
Prophetically, this exclusion warns that those who claim covenant status yet harbor rebellion will not be sealed.
British-Israelism and the Stone of Destiny
Legends of British-Israelism claim that Tea Tephi, a princess from Judah, fled to Ireland with the prophet Jeremiah and the Stone of Destiny (Jacob’s pillow). This stone was later used in coronations of Scottish and British monarchs—including Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III.
While historical evidence is debated, Masonic reverence for this stone and its placement under the coronation chair at Westminster Abbey signals spiritual mimicry—a desire to claim divine authority without the covenant heart.
The crown of Britain once ruled over a third of the earth, bearing a lion and unicorn—symbols connected to Israelite prophecy (Genesis 49:9, Numbers 24:8). Yet with power came compromise, and the true throne belongs to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ alone.
Dan and the Serpent Seed
Dan, though a son of Jacob, is prophetically linked to deception and judgment:
- Samson, from Dan, played both deliverer and fool
- Judges 18 recounts Dan’s idolatrous migration north
- The serpent imagery (Genesis 49) connects Dan to the deceiver.
Some speculate that the Antichrist could arise from Dan—a tribe outside the sealing, linked to hidden rebellion. Whether literal or symbolic, Dan represents those once within the covenant who fall away and oppose the truth.
The Rothschild Dynasty: Wrath’s Child?
The Rothschilds rose in the 18th century as financial patrons of governments, revolutions, and empires.
The name “Rothschild” means “Red Shield”—but phonetically in English it may be read as “wrath’s child.”
Their wealth has funded wars, established the modern State of Israel, and built institutions like:
- The Israeli Knesset
- The Israeli Supreme Court Museums and temples adorned with Masonic symbolism
The question is not whether they are ethnically Jewish—but whether their works reflect the covenant. Jesus said, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham” (John 8:39).
The True Thirteenth Tribe: Levi and the Church
The tribe of Levi was the 13th—not listed among those who inherited land, for their inheritance was the Lord. They served as priests, interceding for the people.
So too, the Church is a royal priesthood, set apart from tribal distinctions. Born not of flesh but of Spirit, these are the true overcomers who serve in the heavenly sanctuary.
Interestingly, the Illuminati also use a 13-member council—an imitation of divine priesthood with counterfeit purpose. The true Thirteenth Tribe is not biological—it is spiritual.
Conclusion: Those Who Overcome
The true people of God are not determined by genetics, tradition, or tribal pride. They are known by:
- Faith in Jesus Christ
- Separation from idolatry
- Willingness to suffer for righteousness
- Devotion to the truth Koestler’s theory may stir debate, but the real question is not, “Are you genetically Israel?” but “Are you spiritually Israel?”
Do you belong to the Vine?
Mystery Babylon falls. The false seed is exposed. The overcomers rise. They are born from above, sealed by the Spirit, and marked by holiness.
Let every reader examine their lineage—not in DNA but in devotion. For only those who do the will of the Father will enter the Kingdom.
“They are not all Israel who are of Israel… but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.” —Romans 9:6–8
The Beginning of the End.
