THIRTEENTH TRIBE

The Thirteenth Tribe is the title of a book published by Arthur Koeslter, who points the finger at the Ashkenazim as being descendants of the Kazar tribe that occupied the area of Western Mongolia, Southern Russia and Eastern Europe, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Koeslter argues that the Askenazim Jews are not natural descendants of Israel. This is disputed by Yair Davidiy, who provides historical evidence that indicates the tribes of Simeon, Mannasseh and Naphtali were among them. Nevertheless, Davidiy acknowledges that the Khazars were not all Israelites, but they eventually converted to Judaism, beginning with the nobility.[i] According to Koestler, the thirteenth tribe consists of descendants of a non-Semitic people of mixed race who emigrated into Eastern Europe sometime around the first century. They later converted to Judaism in the seventh century as a matter of political expediency. Koestler says, concerning the Khazars, whom he refers to as the thirteenth tribe:

…the evidence from anthropology concurs with history in refuting the popular belief in a Jewish race descended from the biblical tribe.  From the anthropologist's point of view, two groups of facts militate against this belief: the wide diversity of Jews with regard to physical characteristics, and their similarity to the Gentile population amidst whom they live. Both are reflected in the statistics about bodily height, cranial index, blood-groups, hair and eye colour, etc. Whichever of these anthropological criteria is taken as an indicator, it shows a greater similarity between Jews and their Gentile host nation than between Jews living in different countries.[ii]

Irrespective of Koeslter’s claims, Jeremiah declares Ephraim the firstborn, who has been pushed out of the land to the North (British Isles) and to the uttermost parts of the Earth (British Empire), and virtually uses the tribe as a metonymy for the tribes of Israel, even though it is to lose its heritage and pass into oblivion at the return of Lord Jesus Christ. What happens to Ephraim could be an allusion to what is to happen to Israel born of the flesh, but not the true Israel born of the Eternal Spirit.

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here. They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Hear Yahweh’s word, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock…. Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah. (Jeremiah 31:8-10,31)

The book of Revelation lists twelve tribes. In the list, we notice that there are some oddities. The tribe of Dan is missing. The tribe of Manasseh is included but not the tribe of Ephraim. Instead, we are introduced for the first time in the Bible to the tribe of Joseph as being a distinct member of the Twelve Tribes. Joseph was mentioned among the tribes in the book of Numbers, when the spies of Israel were selected to reconnoiter the Promised Land. However, this was in conjunction with the tribe of Manasseh and not as a separate entity (Numbers 13:4-15). Levi was not mentioned, Ephraim was, making a list of thirteen tribes. There is more significance by the inclusion of the tribe of Joseph in this list from the book of Revelation than meets the eye. As with many hidden truths within the Bible, there is the appearance of a riddle.

For instance, what would be the answer to this question: Who is like a snake that spreads himself across the Earth only to find himself dispossessed of what he thought was his?[iii] 

The twelve tribes below can be acknowledged as the name of the tribes that are to reign with Lord Jesus Christ.

I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:

 

of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand,

of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. (Revelation 7:4-8)

The story of Joseph has greater implications than merely being a positive-mental-attitude (PMA) preacher’s dream narrative. Not only did Joseph rise to be the person who effectively was the vizier that controlled affairs in Egypt, with Pharaoh being the figurehead, but the promises given to Joseph were that he would reign over his brothers.

Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him all the more. He said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: for behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and behold, your sheaves came around, and bowed down to my sheaf.”

His brothers said to him, “Will you indeed reign over us? Or will you indeed have dominion over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words. He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, “Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.” (Genesis 37:5-9)

The second dream speaks of the sun and the moon and the eleven stars bowing down to him. This is interpreted as Joseph’s brothers, mother and father bowing down to him. However, this also signifies that the Heavenly Host will bow down to Joseph. The Heavenly Host implies that all of Heaven will bow to Joseph, who is a type of Jesus. Now, note, implied also in this is Joseph will rule over Egypt, which happens to be a type of the world. Ephraim and Manasseh are Joseph’s offspring. Take particular notice of the blessings bestowed upon these two children.

When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him. He held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father; for this is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.”

His father refused, and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a multitude of nations.” He blessed them that day, saying, “In you will Israel bless, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh’” He set Ephraim before Manasseh. (Genesis 48:17-20) 

Manasseh was to become a great people (nation), but Ephraim was to become a multitude of nations. Ephraim was to be before Manasseh and have a higher standing. But notice that Moses implies that Joseph (as first born) would push the peoples to the ends of the Earth.

About Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by Yahweh, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath, for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things that the moon can yield, for the best things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills, for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush. Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.

 The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his. His horns are the horns of the wild ox.

 With them he will push all the peoples, to the ends of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.” (Deuteronomy 33:13-17)

Whether we like to admit this or not, the City of London rules the world. England became a multitude of nations that enveloped the globe—in other words, its people were pushed to the ends of the Earth. And, even though many of the countries have become independent, they still remain part of the British Commonwealth. On her birthday in 2016, the Queen of England was still the reigning monarch of sixteen nations, with the sun never setting on the land over which she reigned.[iv] Technically, the Queen owned these nations, but in the main, she was considered a token vestigial remnant of an empire that has ceased to be. Yet we see the blessing pronounced on Joseph’s children Ephraim and Manasseh being brought to fruition in the nations consisting of the British Commonwealth and the United States of America. This blessing is evidenced in the freedoms brought about by the laws and the industry that has advanced living standards in the world today.

When Israel was taken captive by Assyria (2 Kings 15:29; 17: 3-6; 18: 11-13; 1 Chronicles 5:26) sometime around 722 BC, only the tribes of Benjamin, Judah and Levi were left in the land that was promised to them. The lost ten tribes of Israel, supposedly, were wiped off the map forever. Yet this contradicts the promises of God in the Bible, for Israel is to be blessed.

God said to him, “Your name is Jacob. Your name shall not be Jacob any more, but your name will be Israel.” He named him Israel. God said to him, “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your body. The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give it to you, and to your offspring after you will I give the land.”  (Genesis 35:10-12)

Many believe that “a nation and a company of nations” is a direct reference to the United States and the British Commonwealth. That kings will also arise from Israel’s offspring and they will possess the land promised to Abraham is a reference to the nation Israel and any other nations the offspring rule. The reality is that this has been documented and there is no need for argument to the contrary. After being wiped off the map, the nation Israel once more exists in accordance to the Bible’s promises, and there is evidence of the various nations having been inhabited by people who were of Israelite origin. There is evidence that suggests the Scythians were Israelites—purported evidence to the contrary is merely supposition by certain scholars and does not appear as strong as the case for the Israelites being mixed among those called Scythians. Many more people may actually be descendants of Abraham in the flesh than what people realize. But in the scheme of things, does this really matter? Not when it comes to salvation; for salvation was to come through the tribe of Judah.

Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies. Your father’s sons will bow down before you. Judah is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down, he crouched as a lion, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be. Binding his foal to the vine, his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; he has washed his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes. His eyes will be red with wine, his teeth white with milk. (Genesis 49:8-12)

The scepter and the ruler’s staff that will not depart from Judah belong to the Messiah, Lord Jesus Christ: the root and the offspring of David (Revelation 22:16). The Antichrist sees this belonging to him. Deception breeds deception. The liar believes the lies uttered. The British Crown believes that the throne of David is what the reigning monarch sits on.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

(1 Chronicles 29:23)

 

Now therefore, may Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’ (1 Kings 8:25)

The British throne has had six reigning monarchs that are not male: Mary I (19 July, 1553–17 November, 1558); Mary II (13 February, 1689–28 December, 1694); Anne (8 March, 1702–1 May, 1714); Queen Elizabeth I (17 November, 1558-24 March, 1603); Queen Victoria (20 June, 1837-22 January, 1901); Queen Elizabeth II (coronation 2 June, 1953). These six women who have sat on the British Royal Throne trace back to Alfred the Great (849-899), the founder of the current English Monarchy. On the surface, queens reigning instead of kings may seem an invalidation of the promise to David, but not when the following from the book of Numbers is taken into account:

You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, “If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter. If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers. If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and ordinance for the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.” (Numbers 27:8-11)

The line can be passed down through the females when there is no male. However, the promise given to David is messianic. The prophecy has to do with salvation and not particularly with the preservation of the tribes of Israel as a nation. Nevertheless, we cannot overlook the following:

I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not afflict them any more, as at the first. (2 Samuel 7:10)

 

But he answered, “I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)

Most people take Jesus’ claim that He is seeking the lost sheep of the house of Israel to refer to those who are to become part of the house that is being built—the new temple of living stones.

You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:5)

While the new house is a spiritual house made from living stones, the lost sheep are those who were already members of the house. Jesus did not say that He had come for the lost sheep of the house of Judah, but Israel; which consists of all those who are descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; not just those who are descendants of Abraham by faith. Israel was taken captive by the Assyrians (722 BC) and settled near the Caspian Sea in the region that is now Armenia and Azerbaijan. These are also the lost sheep of Israel. There is much evidence that can trace the movement of these tribes into Western Europe and Britain.  Yair Davidiy, who indentifies as a Jew of physical descent, has dedicated himself to documenting where these tribes went and where they are now. He has researched widely and published numerous books on the subject.  On his website we learn:

Ten out of the Twelve Tribes of Israel were exiled and lost their identity. Their descendants are now to be found amongst Western Peoples. This is proven from the Bible, Talmud, and Rabbinical Sources as well as from Secular Studies in Ancient History, Archaeology, Mythology, Linguistics, and related fields. The Prophets spoke of this. Peoples that emerged from the British Isles (including North America) represent Joseph. The Jews of the State of Israel and the Diaspora are Judah. Joseph and Judah are destined to re-unite! The Tribes will be united in One Kingdom. Each Tribe shall dwell in its own territory.[v]

Establishing the merits and authenticity of (what is known as) the British Israelite theory is not our concern; rather we are seeking to show reasons why the British Crown might consider itself the House of David.

After researching the subject of British Israelism, Gregory Neal makes some salient points when he writes:

If the British people are understood as the modern-day descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, then their "just title" to a world empire should be obvious. Their mandate is their birthright as the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, their royalty as descending from Judah and David, and their faith in Jesus Christ. God had promised that they would be as numerous as the stars in the night sky and the sand on all the beaches of the world. Their domain was to be characterized by a large community of nations which would push the inhabitants of the regions they occupied to the very ends of their land. They were to be the most powerful nation on the earth--indeed, they would own the world. They would control the strategic positions of the planet, the economic points of power would be within their sphere rule, and under their flags would reside the people who would herald the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth….Imperial British-Israelism: they wanted to maintain their status as "the World Empire", and refused to accept any vision of the future which denied their identity as God’s birthright nation. Hence the darkness and decline that was visible on the horizon in the first decades of the twentieth century could not be the end. Great Britain, as the House of Israel, would prevail. God would see to that.…The movement was not without important followers among the aristocracy in this period, with such notables as Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, King George VI, and currently Queen Elizabeth II all embracing the tenets of British-Israelism….This was the pattern of most British-Israelites who influenced, or were a part of, the ruling elites of English society. Their beliefs affected their actions, confirming their goals and giving them the tenacity to push forward in their quest for a greater Britain and the coming Kingdom of God.[vi]

The British Crown believe they possess the throne of David and have a divine right to rule the world. When Queen Elizabeth II addressed the United Nations General Assembly (July 6, 2010), she stated, “I address you today as Queen of sixteen United Nation member states and as Head of the Commonwealth of fifty-four countries.” At the time, Queen Elizabeth II was treated as if she were the Queen of the World. Everybody rose to pay homage as she entered the Hall, once she was seated on a solitary throne-like chair, placed some ten feet from the podium on the speaker’s dais, they sat down. Queen Elizabeth contributed nothing to any debate and had nothing of substance to say. There was no reason for her to be there, unless this was a token photo opportunity to make a statement that she really was sovereign of the world, in what could be termed a “head of state address” to her subjects. For she merely read a six-minute statement that, as well as the abovementioned, included: “Since I addressed you last, the Commonwealth, too, has grown vigorously to become a group of nations representing nearly two billion people. It gives its whole-hearted support to the significant contributions to the peace and stability of the world made by the United Nations and its agencies. Last November, when I opened the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Trinidad and Tobago, I told the delegates that the Commonwealth had the opportunity to lead. Today I offer you the same message…We must all work together as hard as ever if we are truly to be United Nations.”[vii]

The Queen would not have written her speech. Furthermore, she probably had no inclination to travel to New York from London just to read out a six-minute speech. For those who are behind the throne, the symbolic gesture of the queen being treated as if she were addressing her own assembly of nations had important overtones. This is noted in her address where she states that she is Queen of sixteen United Nation member states, head of fifty-four countries, and that “I opened the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting” and “told the delegates…to lead” and offers the same message about being truly United Nations. The underlying message is that for the world to be one, it needs to be headed by one who sits on the throne—the Throne of David.

The Throne of David came out of the tribe of Judah and not the tribe of Ephraim, yet the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, which came out of Joseph are traced to be the British Commonwealth and the United States.[viii] The argument for the scepter of Judah being the British Throne takes two routes. One comes through Judah’s son Zerah (Genesis 46:12). Neal writes:

Following the death of Joseph in Egypt, and in accordance with Jacob's splitting of the birthright, the descendants of Judah--Zerah and his sons, the children of the Scarlet Thread--began to rule in northern, or Lower Egypt. Eventually, the Zerahite Kings were overthrown by a Pharaoh of Upper Egypt who "knew not Joseph", and the descendants of Judah through Zerah, were forced to flee. They left, by ship, north through the Mediterranean Sea to settle in Greece, Troy, and on the Iberian peninsula. Eventually, in multiple waves and through many different routes, the House of Judah through Zerah would establish itself in the British Isles as the High Kings of Ireland, the royal family into which the Davidic dynasty would be grafted at a later date. Meanwhile, back in Egypt, the rest of the Hebrews are made slaves, and would eventually leave under Moses.

Following the establishment of the tribes in the Promised Land, the period of the Judges, and the kingship of Saul, David, King of the United Empire of Israel, is promised by God that his dynasty would be in existence forever and that a descendant of his would rule over the House of Israel in a place other than Palestine. This is the beginning of the "House of David" theme, which would dominate not only later British-Israelite theology, but certain earlier forms of Jewish and Christian Messianic expectation. After Solomon, the kingdom is divided, Israel going its own way while Judah continues to be ruled by David's descendants until Nebuchadnezzar takes Jerusalem and has their last king, Zedekiah, and his sons killed. He, however, misses Zedekiah's daughters, and it is through this opening that British-Israel finds its route into the House of David.

 Tea Tephi, a daughter of Zedekiah, was given as a ward to Jeremiah not long before the fall of Jerusalem. We are told that Jeremiah and his party would survive the stay in Egypt, not to be killed but to prosper. Then, they vanish from scripture. Within five years of their disappearance from the Biblical narrative, an old man shows up in Ireland with a daughter of a king, named Tea Tephi. This old man, known to the Irish histories as 0llam Folla, marries Tea Tephi to Eochaid, the High King, or "heremon", of all Ireland and himself a descendant of Zerah, thus reuniting the two Judah lines of Zerah and Perez. When the Celts, the House of Israel--the "lost ten tribes", finally arrive in the British Isles sometime before 400 BCE., their royal family of the House of Judah, through the Scarlet Thread of Zerah and the Throne of David, is awaiting them.[ix] 

From the house of Zerah come the Zerahites (Numbers 26:20), of whom Achan was a member.  Achan decided to worship mammon rather than trust in God. We read in the book of Joshua concerning the devoted thing:

So Joshua rose up early in the morning and brought Israel near by their tribes. The tribe of Judah was selected. He brought near the family of Judah; and he selected the family of the Zerahites. He brought near the family of the Zerahites man by man, and Zabdi was selected. He brought near his household man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was selected. Joshua said to Achan, “My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

 Achan answered Joshua, and said, “I have truly sinned against Yahweh, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done. When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.” (Joshua 7:16-21)

The second connecting ancestral lineage comes through Jeremiah and concerns the stone of Jacob. Among the Israelites, there is no record of any stone of Jacob being a devoted thing. Legend has it that Jeremiah took the stone of Jacob (upon which Jacob laid his head—Genesis 28:11-18) with him to Ireland. This stone has been used for the coronation of every high king of Ireland from around 580 BC[x] until Fergus, son of Erc, raided Scotland. He crowned himself the King of the Scots of Scotland, transporting the stone for his coronation. The significance of this stone is not lost on the Freemasons. The following comes from the library of the Masonic Lodge:

Perhaps then it belongs to mankind in general, and, if truly a Stone of Destiny, might someday be an international symbol of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. It would thus fulfill the Promise of God, carrying out the traditions and teachings of Freemasonry.

 Almost 4,000 years ago the Stone of Destiny was merely another stone lying on the plains of Luz, 11miles north of Jerusalem.  Fate brought Jacob’s caravan to this place near Bethel one evening, and then, as even now, it was the custom for the traveller in the Middle east to bolster his pillow and bedding with stones for a more comfortable position. With his head resting on this particular stone, Jacob is said to have had his famous dream, in which God revealed his Divine Covenants and Promises.

Jacob blessed the Stone, sanctified it by anointing it with oil [Genesis 31:13], and set it up as a pillar to mark the spot, vowing: “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and raiment to keep on, so I come again to my father’s house (Bethel) in peace; then shall the Lord be my God, and this Stone which I have set up for a pillar shall be God’s House….” [Genesis 28:20-22]

 

 Perhaps it is well to note here that The Stone in calcareous, is called ‘freestone’ by Masons.  It is purplish in colour with a few pebbles of quartz embedded in it. The most interesting thing about its geological formation is that no similar rock formation exists in the British Isles, but the Rev. Canon Tristram states that there is a stratum of sandstone near the Red Sea geologically like the Stone of Destiny. In the following years, Jacob who prospered in wealth and knowledge, was directed by God to return to Bethel. On his return, the Lord again appeared to him, saying, “ I am the God of Bethel.” Thus the Lord associated Himself not only with the place of the vision but with the Bethel Stone, and Jacob knew indeed that he had found the true God.

 Jacob took the stone with him, and, from that time on it was always set up as a pillar marking the altar to the God of Israel.  His twelve sons became the progenitors of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and The Stone followed them.  Thus, The Stone supplied the physical as well as spiritual needs for the Israelites.

 Let us again take note of the physical properties of The Stone. The Iron rings and a pole groove along the top of The Stone, worn from handling, bear witness to it’s long migrations.  How and when were they worn? Not while in the temples of Jerusalem, or the castles and abbeys of Ireland, Scotland and England ! It must have been on the journey with Jacob to Egypt and during the 40 years of Israel’s wanderings in the wilderness!  The Bethel Stone, finally, was returned to Jerusalem where it served as the Coronation Stone for the Jewish Kings, ending with the infamous Zedekiah in 578 BC

 By that time the Bethel Stone had descended to the Ephraimites. Jacob’s favorite son, Joseph, had acquired the land of Bethel, together with the Pillow-Rock, as his inheritance.  From Joseph it passed to his younger son Ephraim, of whom Jacob had prophesied: “His seed shall become a multitude of nations.”

As if to carry out this prophecy, a direct descendant of Ephraim, Gatholus by name, had sailed west through the Mediterranean with a large number of followers and reached Celtiberia (Southern Spain), where he founded a nation. From Celtiberia, a group of Gatholus’ descendants invaded Eireann (Ireland) in the sixth century BC and established themselves in Ulster, building a beautiful palace called Team-Hair Breagh, and later ‘Tara’.

 It is to be noted that Gatholus did not possess The Stone and yet it did follow his route through Celtiberia and eventually came into the possession of his descendant Eremon.  Thus the prophecy of Jacob was fulfilled. Now let us follow The Stone and its eventual sanctification of Eremon’s rule. Jacob was fulfilled. Following the downfall of Zedekiah, Jeremiah and the major part of the Jews were carried captive from Jerusalem to Babylon. Only a few were left under the direction of the prince Gedaliah.  Jeremiah was later released and returned to Jerusalem, but following the murder of Gedaliah, he took the remaining Jews to Tahpanhes in Egypt, where the voice of the Lord came to him informing him how to overthrow the image-worshiping Egyptians and seat Babylonia’s Nebuchadnezzar on it’s throne.

 The Lord said: “Take great stones in thine hand and hide them in the clay in the brick kiln which is at the entry of Pharoah’s house in Tahpanes, in the sight of the men of Judah; And say to them, Thus sayeth the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon, my servant and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.”

 Did this mean that, unbeknown to himself, Nebucadnezzar was given Divine permission to rule Egypt by being coroneted over the hidden Bethel Stone? According to Irish historians, a few years later (581 BC) a small but distinguished group of strangers arrived in Ulster.

 They had fled from Palestine to Tahpanes, Egypt, whence they had probably come by way of Caltiberia, the land of their Ephraim - Israelite cousins.  In this group was an important patriarch saint called Ollam Folla meaning "Prophet" (Jeremiah?).  This aged man was the guardian of  the beautiful Tea-Tephi, a princess descended from a Pharaoh, and a daughter of Zedekiah.  He was accompanied by his scribe, so called Baruch (the name of Jeremiah’s scribe was Baruch). They had brought with them the Bethel Stone, or Stone of Destiny, together with a royal harp and an Ark. It is significant that the Harp of David has been the royal arms of Ireland for the last 2,500 years.

 Irish historians referred to Tea-Tephi as the “Daughter of God’s House”, and to the people to whom she brought the Stone of B-th-l God’s Stone—she could have been no other than the daughter of that house.  According to tradition, King Eremon married Tea-Tephi and the royal palace changed it’s name to “Tara”, the root word from Taph meaning “One banished “.

 According to Professor Totten of New Haven, “The altars of ancient Ireland were called Botal or Bothal, meaning the House of God. It is from the Hebrew world, B-th-l.  So in the union of Tea-Tephi, a descendant of David and Eremon, descendant of Joseph, it not only left the Bethel Stone in the possession of the House of Joseph, but united the two principal kingdoms of Israel, Judah and Ephraim. Thus came to pass the fulfillment of another prophecy of Jeremiah who said: “I am Father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first born. Hear the Word of the Lord. Ye nations and declare it in isles afar off (Britain?) and say, he that scatters Israel will gather him.” [Jeremiah 31:9]

Here ends the major Masonic significance of The Stone.  It remained in Ireland for over 1,000 years where every Irish Ard-Righ (King) was crowned on it, until the advent of King Murchertah, who by some slipshod arrangement without the benefit of council, lent it to his brother Fearghus Mor (the Great) who took it to the Scottish island of Iona. Here 48 kings were crowned on it until the ninth century, when raids by the Norsemen became so serious that it was transferred to the town of Scone near Perth for safekeeping by Coinneach Crudalach (the Hardy) who became King of Alba (Scotland).  In Scotland it remained for 400 years as that nation’s coronation Stone.

 In the reign of England’s Edward I, and now known as the “Stone of Scone”, the stone was removed  from Scotland and placed in Westminster Abbey, in 1292, either by force or mutual agreement (authorities disagree), and there it has remained almost ever since.  But the Scottish were ever mindful of their ancient King Kenneth’s admonition that “Wherever The Stone should be, a King of Gaelic blood would reign”. And so in 1950 Scottish Nationalists, under the cover of darkness, removed the Stone from the Abbey and fled with it to Scotland. Four months later it was tracked down and promptly brought back to London.  But in 1996 reason prevailed and by an Act of the British Parliament, the Stone was formally returned to Scotland.[xi]

British-Israelism is not just a biblically based idea that some sects or sections of the Christian Church community believe has merit, so do the Freemasons. When the Caliph Omar captured Jerusalem, he was shown what he was told to be Jacob’s stone and out of veneration built a mosque upon the spot.[xii] The implications suggest that any future Islamic Caliph could accept British royalty as the rightful heir of throne of David, the seed of Jacob, the seed of Isaac, the seed of Abraham; of whom Muhammad was a brother, through the seed of Ishmael, the half-brother of Isaac.

The list of the tribes (fig.11) from the books of Genesis, Numbers and Revelation show which tribes are included and excluded when speaking of the twelve tribes of Israel. What is evident in the lists is the exclusion of Joseph and Levi in the list of tribes given land in the book of Numbers and their inclusion in the book of Revelation. The tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh (the seed of Joseph) are given an inheritance in the Promised Land as recorded in the book of Numbers, but Ephraim is excluded from the book of Revelation. Dan is given an inheritance in Numbers but is excluded from mention in the book of Revelation.

The fact that we have these differing lists of inclusion and exclusion of the tribes of Levi, Dan, Manasseh and Ephraim have led people to have varying views on the reason why this is so.

Commentators accept that when the tribes entered the Promised Land there were thirteen tribes and not twelve, with Levi being the thirteenth tribe. The tribe of Levi was given no land as an inheritance, because this tribe was given the right to represent the people before God, although it was given the right to farm on plots around the cities in which they lived (Numbers 35:2-8). The tribe was given a tenth of the goodness of the land to be presented by the people as their inheritance (Numbers 18:24). However, the exclusion of Ephraim and Dan in the book of Revelation is where the differences in respect to interpretation occur.

Some commentators believe that the tribes listed in the book of Revelation are merely representative of the people of God and the fact that two tribes are not mentioned is of no consequence because this is a symbolic book. Judah is listed first to indicate that the final listing of the tribes is symbolic and therefore representative of the people of God. Manasseh is included because he married an Egyptian, as did Joseph, and this symbolizes the inclusion of

Gentiles. Joseph also represents reigning as a king even though no land was given. The Levites represent a nation of priests, even though no land was given in the form of territories, as was given to the other tribes. Accepting this view warrants no further investigation.

However, those who ask questions like to know whether there might be any significance attributable to the fact that in Genesis the twelve tribes actually become fourteen tribes and then reduce to thirteen tribes when entering the Promised Land, only to become twelve tribes in the book of Revelation with the tribes of Dan and Ephraim being excluded (fig.12).

As is evident, the book of Numbers has a change in the positions of birth order when listing the tribes (fig.11). The book of Revelation has a change in birth order, as well as the inclusion of Joseph, and the exclusion of Dan and Ephraim (fig.12).

Joseph is accepted as being Ephraim by many people because of what is written in the book of Judges. Instead of saying that the house of Ephraim went up against Bethel, we read that the house of Joseph when up against Bethel (Judges 1:22). Joshua referred to both Manasseh and Ephraim as the house of Joseph (Joshua 17:17) and told them to drive out the Canaanites from surrounding territory to obtain more land. Consequently we read:

The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and Yahweh was with them. The house of Joseph sent to spy out Bethel. (The name of the city before that was Luz.) The watchers saw a man come out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the entrance into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.” He showed them the entrance into the city, and they struck the city with the edge of the sword; but they let the man and all his family go. (Judges 1:22-25)

The house of Joseph actually obtained three different allotments of land. The tribe of Manasseh became as two tribes and occupied land on both sides of the Jordan (Joshua 22:7). Ephraim was given its own territory (Joshua 16:5-8). Bethel became a city of the tribe of Ephraim.

When Israel separated from Judah, we learn that a golden calf was erected in two cities. One was in the city of Bethel that belonged to the tribe of Ephraim. The other was in the city of Dan that belonged to the tribe of Dan.

So the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold; and he said to them, “It is too  much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Look and behold your gods, Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” He set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan. This thing became a sin; for the people went even as far as Dan to worship before the one there. 

(1 Kings 12:28-30)

The logical conclusion is that because the tribes of Dan and Ephraim permitted sanctuaries of idol worship to be erected in their cities, they have been excluded from mention in the list of tribes in the book of Revelation because of this sin. The prophet Amos clearly spells out the fate of Bethel and the royal house.

For in the day that I visit the transgressions of Israel on him, I will also visit the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar will be cut off, and fall to the ground. (Amos 3:14)

 

Don’t seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and don’t pass to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing. (Amos 5:5)

 

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. For Amos says, ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

Amaziah also said to Amos, “You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!” (Amos 7:10-13)

The difficulty with the idea that Ephraim is to be wiped out forever is this prophecy from Ezekiel that states:

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand. (Ezekiel 37:19).

Ephraim is to reunite with Judah. The time of this prophecy was some one hundred and forty years after the Assyrian captivity of Israel, during the Babylonian captivity of Judah. When we consider that the Apostle Paul states that all Israel is to be saved (Romans 11:26), we have to wonder why two tribes are not mentioned by name in the book of Revelation. In part, this conundrum is resolved, if we recognize that Joseph’s blessing overrides that of his sons, even though the birthright had passed to Ephraim and not to Manasseh. For as Reuben lost his birthright, likewise, so did Ephraim and it reverted to Joseph. For we read in the book of Chronicles, the birthright belonged to Joseph.

The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn; but, because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be listed according to the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and from him came the prince; but the birthright was Joseph’s. (1 Chronicles 5:1-2) 

The tribe of Dan presents us with another problem, because of the prophecy stating that the tribe shall judge the people. 

Dan will judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. (Genesis 49:16) 

Samson was from the tribe of Dan (Judges 13) and he judged Israel for twenty years. But this has nothing to do with Dan being told that he shall judge his people. Judges came from different tribes, as is evident in this list of judges of Israel from the following six tribes: 

Ephraim— Judges: Abdon and Samuel;

Manasseh— Judges: Jephthah, Jair and Gideon;

Zebulun— Judge: Elon; 

Judah— Judges: Ibzan and Othniel;

Benjamin— Judge: Ehud;

Levi— Judge: Eli.

 

Jacob’s son, Dan, was conceived through his wife Rachel’s servant. Rachel was barren. Therefore she offered her maid to Jacob to give her an adopted child. After the child was born, from mixed blessings, Rachel appears to have been of two minds: feeling elated that she can now claim a child to mother, but also judged because her maid Bilhah bore a child with her husband and not her. Notably, there are parallels here with Ishmael being born to Hagar the servant of Sarah. Ishmael, through Islam, has come to be the judge of those who claim to be the seed of Abraham through Isaac.[xiv]

Bilhah conceived, and bore Jacob a son. Rachel said, “God has judged me, and has also heard my voice, and has given me a son.” Therefore called she his name Dan. (Genesis 30:5-6) 

The prophecy that concerns the tribe of Dan, through its progenitor, speaks of it as being a judge, a serpent, and, startlingly, not having salvation. 

Dan will judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan will be a serpent on the trail, an adder in the path, That bites the horse’s heels, so that his rider falls backward. I have waited for your salvation, Yahweh. (Genesis 49:16-18) 

The judgment of God has fallen upon the serpent. The serpent has judged the people of God as guilty of sin. We can point to the fact that Aaron’s rod turned into a serpent and consumed the serpents that pharaoh’s magicians produced (Exodus 7:10-12). In the wilderness, the people sinned, and as judgment, serpents came among them, killing many. Moses erected a bronze serpent on a pole and those who believed they would live by looking at it, did (Numbers 21:8-9). In both these instances, we see that there is a paradox. On the one hand, serpents create a problem for the people by being used to bring judgment, and on the other hand, a serpent is used for solving a problem. One serpent was used in both situations to solve the problem of many serpents. Indeed, the serpents that judge are judged for being serpents that did not judge with righteous judgment. However, the prophecy says that Dan will be a serpent that bites a horse’s heel and causes its rider to fall. This is where the key to understanding the reason Dan is left out of the twelve tribes in Revelation may lie. The respected Matthew Henry has this to say:

Dan should, by art, and policy, and surprise, gain advantages against his enemies, like a serpent biting the heel of the traveller.[xv]

Matthew Henry sees this in a positive way; for a person does not have to be an enemy to be bitten by a serpent. The eminent commentators, Jamieson, Fausset and Brown, point to Samson reflecting the mindset of Danites as being more in lines of what Jesus said about being as wise as a serpent (Matthew 10:16). We read:

A serpent, an adder, implies subtlety and stratagem; such was pre-eminently the character of Samson, the most illustrious of its judges.[xvi]

 What we know is the tribes of Dan and Ephraim have both been excluded in the last roll call. We know also that part of the reason is they both permitted sanctuaries for the cult worship of the Egyptian calf to be built. The tribes are judged as returning to Egypt, which is reminiscent of the creation of the golden calf at Mount Sinai (Exodus 32:1-10), rather than experiencing the freedom of victory in the Son of God. Ephraim appears to have lost its firstborn status and Dan lost its status as a judge of the tribes of Israel. Some even think that Dan is not included in the list of the twelve tribes in the book of Revelation because it is a judge and the other tribes are witnesses; only this does not explain Ephraim. In fact, Ephraim and Dan tell us something else. When the Israelites were delivered from Egypt, we learn God said that he would destroy the firstborn of the captor (Pharaoh—a type of the Devil). We know also that the symbol of sin is a serpent, and sin brings forth death. The typology and implications expressed in Ephraim being given the status of a firstborn and Dan being declared a serpent, but not appearing in the final role call for the twelve tribes, points to judgment of the firstborn—that is, the firstborn of death. 

You shall tell Pharaoh, ‘Yahweh says, Israel is my son, my firstborn, and I have said to you, “Let my son go, that he may serve me”; and you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.’” (Exodus 4:22-23)

 

For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

(2 Corinthians 5:21)

The members of his body shall be devoured. The firstborn of death shall devour his members. (Job 18:13)

 

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:14-15)

Matthew Henry’s description of Dan using subterfuge to gain the advantage of his target (mark, prey) could be a trait for which Danites became known. Samson used cunning to defeat the Philistines, even at his own expense in the end. Besides this, from archaeological finds, two things that have been attributed to the tribe of Dan are they appear to have travelled to other parts of the Mediterranean before the time of King Saul, and they appear to have possessed quite a number of advanced skills. The Bible tells us that a member of the tribe of Dan was taught how to work with gold (Exodus 38:22-24) and that Danites had ships (Judges 5:17).  Interestingly, about four centuries after the Exodus, King Solomon asks the king of Tyre whether he can provide anyone to be of service who is skilled in the fine arts of metal work and engraving. A child from a mixed marriage between a Danite woman and a Tyrian man possessed these skills.

Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, of my father’s, Huram the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving, and to devise any device; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father. (2 Chronicles 2:13-14)

Non-believers in the biblical narrative do not accept that the Danites are responsible for what is otherwise the mythological Danaan (or Danaoi) that settled in Greece and founded a colony in Denmark and Ireland.[xvii] Unfortunately for the disbelievers, there appears to be considerable evidence that links the Danaan with the Hebrew Danites. We learn:

Dr. Robert Latham, one of the most respected 19th century authorities, firmly stated that the Danaan of Greece were the Israelite Tribe of Dan.  In his Ethnology of Europe, Latham

commented, "Neither do I think that the eponymous [i.e., founder] of the Argive [Greek] Danai was other than that of the Israelite tribe of Dan; only we are so used to confine ourselves to the soil of Palestine in our consideration of the history of the Israelites, that we . . . ignore the share they may have taken in the ordinary history of the world" (p.137).

Archaeologist Dr. Cyrus Gordon states that they later sailed from Greece to other European coastlands, including Ireland and Denmark. In his book, "Before Columbus" Gordon relates, "A group of Sea People bore the name of 'Dan.'...Danites [were part of] the tribal system of ancient Israel. . . . The Danites were widespread. Cyprus was called la-Dnan 'The Island of Dan(an).'…The same people were called Danuna, and under this name they appear as rulers of the Plain of Adana in Cilicia. Greek tradition has their eponymous ancestor, Danaos (Dan), migrating from the Nile delta to Greece . . ." (p.108). ... "Virgil also designated the Greeks as 'Danai.' Bold scholars see the influence of the Danites in Irish folk lore ... and in the name of Danmark ('Denmark'): the land of Dan. . ." (p.111).

W. Ewart Gladstone in "Juventus Mundi" states that the Tuatha de Danaan of Ireland came from the Danaan of Greece. The similarity of name would itself seem conclusive; but is there other evidence that these two groups of Danaan were related?

 

Dr. H.R. Hall, in "The Civilization of Greece In The Bronze Age" stated concerning the Greeks of the age of Homer, "Athenian funerary lekythoi [painted vases] give us coppery-red or brown hair side by side with dark-brown or black, and generally fair complexions, resembling a certain Irish Celtic type" (p.288).

Keating's "History of Ireland" says, "The Dannans were a people of great learning, they had overmuch gold and silver. They left Greece after a battle with the Assyrians, and for fear of falling into the hands of the Assyrians came to Norway and Denmark (Dannemark) and thence passed over to Ireland" (p.40).

The "Annals of Ireland" by the Four Masters explains, "The colony called Tuathade-Dannan conquered the Firbolgs and became masters of Ireland, were highly skilled in architecture and other arts from their long residence in Greece and intercourse with the Phoenicians" (p.121).[xviii] 

The tribe of Dan had members that possessed ships and left for other lands. They eventually came to Ireland and settled there and possibly Scotland. At a later date, Ephraim is believed to have made its way to the British Isles. Both these tribes of Israel had sanctuaries to the god of this world in their territories. Ephraim, the firstborn that forfeited its right. Dan the judge of people, having brought about their fall by taking advantage of their vulnerabilities. The evidence is strong that Dan and, eventually, Ephraim go to the British Isles and join up with the Zerahites. The prophet Jeremiah, along with Tea Tephi, King Zedekiah’s daughter, later joins them.

There is an argument based on the views from some of the early church fathers that the Antichrist is to literally come from the land of Dan in Palestine. However, what is more likely, the Antichrist will be a descendant of the line of Dan, but not necessarily the male line. For as we have seen with the skilled engraver Huram that the king of Tyre sent Solomon, this man’s mother was from the tribe of Dan, but his father was a Gentile, a Tyrian. However, what is more probable, the Antichrist, if he is to have Jewish ancestry, will be from the tribes of Dan and Ephraim and will be attempting to usurp the scepter from the tribe of Judah. For Judah heads the list of tribes in the book of Revelation, that excludes both Dan and Ephraim. The Antichrist will claim to be the Messiah from the tribe of Judah.

One of the interesting facts about Israel and Judah is they were to pay a national price for their iniquity. This punishment would be in the form of exile from their land. The judgment was determined for Israel to be three hundred and ninety (390) years, and for Judah, another forty (40) years (Ezekiel 4:4-6)—a total of four hundred and thirty years. Judah served seventy of these years in Babylon; therefore, this brought the final tally to three hundred and sixty (360) years. As we have seen in chapter eight, when we apply the seven times rule for the lack of repentance, Judah’s time of banishment as a nation lasts until November, 1947, when the United Nations ratified an agreement for the modern state of Israel to become an independent nation—which is remarkable fulfillment of prophecy. Israel was to suffer three hundred and ninety (390) years and, if we apply the multiplier of the seven year penalty from the Assyrian captivity of 722 BC (fig. 13), this brings us within a year of 1967 (the year of the defining six day war of June 5-10). Unfortunately, the British Israelism advocates come up with claims that this falls on 1611 when the King James Bible was published, from when Israel separated from Judah. British Israelism advocates also claim Israel’s punishment ended around the 1800s when the British Empire began to become truly established.

In regard to the dates made by the British Israelism movement, they are using the incorrect method of interpreting the years. Therefore, they are out in their claims of evidence to support their case from Ezekiel’s prophesying. However, what is worth noting, using the prophetic 360 day calendar, the calculations from the Assyrian captivity of Israel in 722 BC, depending on the actual start dates, brings us within a year or two of when Mayer Amschel Rothschild started his own business in 1763. This is done by using the 360 years of banishment with the seven times extra punishment for a lack of repentance, rather than the 390 years plus 40 years banishment, and applying it to the date of the Assyrian captivity of Israel (fig. 14). Surely, the fact that this brings us so close to the creation of the Rothschild financial dynasty that is instrumental in the founding of modern-day Israel has to be more than coincidence. Either we deny the significance of these figures and reject the omniscience of our Creator or we marvel at the consistency.

We need to bear in mind that for events to be within a year or so of these diagnostic determinations they have to have merit; especially, if these events are of significance. For while people claim that God is accurate to the minute in His predictions, such claims do not allow for freewill—which cannot be overridden—when we are talking about centuries. As stated previously, this is why, when the number of the Gentiles that are to be saved is fulfilled, only then all Israel will be saved. Using the prophetic method and assuming that Israel had to suffer three hundred and ninety (390) years times seven for its punishment, we arrive at the year 1968.

As it happened, Israel demonstrated that it occupied Palestine and intended to stay during the war of 1967. Against the odds, Israel defeated the Arabs in the Six-Day War, also known as the June War, 1967. Actually, in 1988, twenty-one years later, people expected the Lord Jesus to return. This expectation was brought about because the assumption was largely based upon different reasons to the information and prophecies pointed out in exposition that has been provided in this treatise. Hal Lindsey had predicted in his book "The Late, Great Planet Earth" that the Rapture was coming in 1988—one generation being 40 years after the creation of the state of Israel. This failed prophecy did not appear to damage his reputation. He continues to write books on prophecy which sell very well indeed. There was also a rare planet alignment that year. And if we were to add twenty-one years to 1967 for the times of Jacob’s troubles, for they were both twenty-one-year periods, we find ourselves also at 1988. However, people were not aware of the truth of Jacob’s Trouble being 21 years back in 1967; therefore they were not alerted for the required need of additional prophetic fulfillment.

Adam Clark Calculates The Fullness Of The Gentiles’ Time

Adam Clark was a Methodist biblical theologian, whose eight volume commentary on the entire Bible was published by 1832. Concerning the days in Daniel, chapter twelve, he wrote:

Perhaps Mohammedanism may be the abomination; which sprang up AD 612. If we reckon one thousand two hundred and ninety years…And cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days…and as a day stands for a year, this must mean a period of one thousand three hundred and thirty-five years, which period is to bring all these wonders to an end, Daniel 12:6. But we are left totally in the dark relative to the time from which these one thousand three hundred and thirty-five years are to be reckoned. If, however, we reckon them from the above epoch, AD 612, when Mohammedanism arose, they lead us to AD 1947, when the fullness of the Gentiles shall be brought in; and thus a final closure of vision and prophecy be made, as then all the great events relative to the salvation of men shall have taken place. Wars and contentions will probably then cease over the whole world.[xix] 

Another view has been that 1967 is the year that the fullness of the Gentiles was completed. This is based upon the 2300 evenings and mornings being a day to a Gregorian year. Adam Clarke calculates 2300 years from Alexander’s invasion of Asia and arrives at 1966.

Unto two thousand and three hundred days - Though literally it be two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings. Yet I think the prophetic day should be understood here, as in other parts of this prophet, and must signify so many years. If we date these years from the vision of the he-goat, (Alexander's invading Asia), this was A.M. 3670, 334 BC; and two thousand three hundred years from that time will reach to AD 1966, or one hundred and forty-one years from the present AD 1825.

Although Adam Clark is not taking into consideration the prophetic year being 360 days and not 365 days, his predictions are rather remarkable in that during his day he was ridiculed for considering such possibilities. For if we were to trace the years back from 1967 (2300-1967=333) we would end up in the year 333 BC. When we convert these into prophetic years, we arrive at the year 300 BC. Alexander the Great died in 323 BC. This brings this particular interpretation into question, even though we can recognize what the Spirit of God is indicating as people arrive at various conclusions.

Restoration Of The Temple Mount

Dan Bruce comes up with a novel explanation as to why what happened in 1967 was the unsealing of the book of Daniel and the fulfillment of the fullness of the Gentiles. After the Six-Day War, according to Bruce, Israel for the first time, since the sacking of Rome, got control of the Temple Mount—if we can call having Muslim mosques on the Temple Mount, gaining control and exercising Jewish sovereignty. Nevertheless Dan Bruce writes:

In Daniel 12:4, after commanding that the prophecies be sealed, God made a promise to the future when he said: “knowledge shall be increased.” That promise by  God  has  now  been  fulfilled  by  recent  events  in  Israel  that  have  allowed  us  to  recognize  the  meaning—and  thus  the  unsealing—of the  prophecy  in  Daniel,  chapter  8,  which  was  made  manifest  on  June  7,  1967,  during  the  Six-Day  War. 

 As the world watched, Old City Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were liberated from Gentile control and restored to Jewish rule, precisely as foretold in verse 14:

 “And  he  [the  angel  of  God]  said  to  me [Daniel],  ‘For  2,300  evenings  and  mornings evening-until-morning(s), Passover nights]. Then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state [returned to Jewish sovereignty]’ ”(esv with Au in brackets).

 Prior to the restoration of the Temple Mount to Jewish sovereignty in 1967, it was not humanly possible for anyone to accurately and fully interpret the chrono-specific  prophecies  in  Daniel  that  God  had  said  were  sealed  away  until  the  time of the end.[xx] 

Dan Bruce’s contention is that starting with the Passovers after the May 334 BC victory over Darius III by Alexander the Great, 2300 Passovers later brings us to the Passover of April 24, 1967. The year is correct and considering the fact that Adam Clark saw the connection, there is merit in this. However, because these are not prophetic years, we are not being consistent and are entering into the realm of eisegesis, where people take stabs in the dark and find facts to fit. The reality is the evidence points to the return of Lord Jesus Christ, but the fullness of the Gentiles is not complete and Israel has not taken control of the Temple at Jerusalem yet. Still seventy years from 1967 brings us to 2037, which fits within the idea of a generation being seventy years (cp. Mark 13:30; Psalm 90:10) in that last day. Beginning with 1917, we have one hundred and twenty years (from as in the days of Noah beginning to build the Ark) that also brings this to the same year of 2037. Therefore, it has to be no coincidence that we find Israel being created in 1917, given independence in 1947, obtaining further rights over Jerusalem in 1967, and being declared the capital of Israel by the USA in 2017, with threats made against those countries who decide to oppose the US moving its Embassy there from Tel Aviv.

The only reason we can assume that Lord Jesus has not come back yet is because the full number of the Gentiles have not been saved. The very reason for Lord Jesus Christ not returning yet is that each one has freewill, and God does not override freewill. Nevertheless, once everything is in place, Jacob’s trouble will be a twenty-one-year phase for the completion of the final days, as has already been explained.

We ​can see the prophetic accuracy of the previous figures is rather uncanny considering the key events that have occurred. For even the Rothschild ascendancy has no equal. They possess the influence and the power that goes beyond any other family on Earth today. There are people who claim that the Rothschild family has no Jewish background at all; therefore, the Rothschilds are really Gentiles. In fact, there are those who believe that there is a significant play on the words “wrath’s child” that has greater bearing upon the reason for Mayer Amschel Bauer changing his name to Rothschild than the fact that the name means “red shield” in German. This is due to the fact that English is now the lingua franca of the world and the truth that there is often more to words than just being sounds; for ideas that are not so explicit can be embedded in words. For instance, Americans pronounce "wrath" like "math" with the short "a" vowel. The English pronunciation of "wrath's child" is the same as "Rothschild", because the "a" is pronounced as an "o". While this might seem too far-fetched for some, others believe that God is guiding the world towards its destiny and has worked out the end from the beginning. This means that English, being the language with which the Gospel is taken to the ends of the world​,​ ​having become​ the lingua franca​ of the last days​, the play on “wrath’s child” ​for​ Rothschild​ is more than coincidence​.

In respect to who are Gentiles and who are Jews, what people overlook is the fact that for most of the people in the world, genetically tracing back to Abraham is a high probability.  In fact, for the black populations, when it comes to the Africans who were sold as slaves, there is evidence that they too were part of the tribes of Israel—particularly, with regard to what will happen to those who disobey the Lord God, when the curses are taken into account. But more than this, there is evidence of culture and artifacts among the African tribes that are Hebrew. There are also the paintings depicting Israelites which are more African than any long faced Jew that possesses a long nose, typified by Jacob Frank below.

 Possessing the biological genes of Abraham count for naught, for faith in Lord Jesus Christ is what counts. The Bible states that those who accept that Lord Jesus died for their sins, and the sin of the world, are encouraged to meet together and commemorate his death until He returns.

Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching. (Heb. 10:24-25)

For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread. When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.” In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

In some respects, the thirteenth tribe could be considered the Church. This is because the tribe of Levi was the thirteenth tribe, the other twelve tribes were not part of the priesthood. We who are members of the Church have been called to a new priesthood—the Melchezidek Priesthood—and unlike the Levite priesthood, this priesthood is not about the ineffectual sacrificing of animals on behalf of people’s sins; rather, it is about overcoming sin and walking in the righteousness of God.

The Devil has a counterfeit. This counterfeit also meets and has rituals. Svali is the name of a woman who claims she was part of the Illuminati. As part of her story, she said that she was designated to rise high in the organization and therefore was to be ordained at a sacrificial ritual at the Vatican. At her induction ceremony, she was taken below the Vatican into a room that had thirteen doors. Svali was told that each door was where the spirits of the fathers existed and presided over the ceremony. The Illuminati (founded in 1776) is a satanic counterfeit of the true Israel, which had thirteen tribes (twelve tribes with land plus the tribe of Levi). Thirteen plays an important part in the council of the Illuminati, according to Svali. The organization sets its councils up with thirteen members at various levels of oversight. Thirteen ancestral bloodlines are believed to form the families of those who have been set aside to rule the planet. Maybe, this is just coincidence. More than likely, it is the power of the Prince of the Air at work in the hearts of those who are children of disobedience; whose desire centers on mammon, the lure of the god of this world.

Who is this thirteenth tribe that forms the priesthood of the thirteen families believed to control the affairs of the world?

Fritz Springmeier writes: “At one point, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York [which controls the Federal Reserve system] was controlled by five banks which owned 53 percent of its stock. These five banks were controlled by Nathan M. Rothschild & Sons of London. Control over the Federal Reserve is basically control over the world’s money. That fact alone shows how immense the Rothschilds’ power is.”[xxii]

Jewish philosopher Heinrich Heine, himself a Banker’s son (d. 1856): - “Money is the god of our era, and Rothschild is his prophet.”[xxiii]

In the light of what Springmeier has written and the remarks made by Heinrich Heine, what are we to make of the many quotations that exist regarding the Rothschilds. Writing about the conspiracy of central banking, author Gregory Richford includes the following quotes:

Said “I am afraid the ordinary citizen will not like to be told that the banks can, and do, create money…. And they who control the credit of the nation direct the policies of government and hold in the hollow of their hands the destiny of the people.” Freemason Reginald McKenna, former British Chancellor of the Exchequer (1915-1916), England, in a speech January 24, 1924.

 

“Let me issue and control a nation's money and I care not who makes its laws.” –Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild (1744-1812); quote spoken in 1790.

 

“He was lord and master of the money market of the world, and of course virtually lord and master of everything else.” Benjamin Disraeli, (Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1868) speaking about Nathan Rothschild.

 

“I care not what puppet is placed upon the throne of England to rule the Empire on which the sun never sets. The man who controls Britain’s money supply controls the British Empire and I control the British money supply.” –Nathan Mayer Rothschild in 1815.[xxiv] 

The Rothschilds are responsible for Israel’s existence as a nation. They provided funding for the Knesset (Israel Parliament) and the Supreme Court, which stand as a tribute to them, for these two institutions are extolled as great symbols of democracy and independence.[xxv] The Knesset and Supreme court are replete with Masonic symbolism. The Israel National News corporation, Arutz Sheva, reports that the Supreme Court was built to Masonic guidelines, stating: “Maariv points to Eye of Providence, pyramids, Rothschilds' involvement as tell-tale signs.”[xxvi]

Milton Kapner was raised a Jew. He later converted to Christianity and became a member of the Orthodox Church.  He writes:

By 1934, the year of Edmund de Rothschild’s death, 125,000 acres of land and more than 40 settlements were purchased under the auspices of the Rothschild’s Palestine Jewish Colonization Association (PICA)….The Rothschilds have been the main financial sponsors of archaeological digs in Israel. The Masada Dig was first known to the Israelis as the “Edmond de Rothschild Masada Dig” under the auspices of the Rothschilds’ Palestine Exploration Fund. The PEF established the Biblical Archaeology Society which publishes the Biblical Archaeology Review touting it as the authority on Solomon’s Temple.

 In December of 1995, a month after Rabin was assassinated, the Jerusalem Masonic Lodge was established adjacent to the Temple Mount in the underground Grotto of King Solomon. The lodge was founded by the Grand Master of the Italian illuminati Giuliano Di Bernardo who at the opening ceremony declared, “The rebuilding of the Temple is at the center of our studies.”

 The Orthodox Christian Church teaches that the rebuilt Jewish Temple will house the Anti-Christ who will be a Jew. This is in accordance with the predictions of the holy Prophet Daniel who said that the Anti Christ “shall not regard the God of his fathers.” (Daniel 11).[xxvii]

If we consider that Joseph has assumed the birthright that was handed to Ephraim. Dan in effect would become the thirteenth tribe. What is associated with the tribe of Dan appears to be the ability to succeed in this world. The evidence is that the tribe of Dan appears to have made its mark on the Mediterranean, the British Isles and Denmark, to say the least. Those who were of the tribe of Dan, who were taken captive by the Assyrians, would have been numbered with the rest of Israel of which the book of 2 Esdras and 2 Kings states:

These are the ten tribes which were led away from their own land into captivity in the days of King Hoshe′a, whom Shalmane′ser the king of the Assyrians led captive; he took them across the river, and they were taken into another land. But they formed this plan for themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the nations and go to a more distant region, where mankind had never lived, that there at least they might keep their statutes which they had not kept in their own land. And they went in by the narrow passages of the Euphrates river. For at that time the Most High performed signs for them, and stopped the channels of the river until they had passed over. Through that region there was a long way to go, a journey of a year and a half; and that country is called Arzareth.

In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria, and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. (2 Kings 17:6) 

The lost tribes of Israel disappeared. According to the historical account of the second book of Esdras, they appear to have been taken beyond the beginnings of the Euphrates River and outside of the territory of the Assyrian Empire. This would place them in the Caucasus region from where the Cimmerians, Scythians and Ashkenazim originated. The book of 2 Kings states that some were taken to various cities in Assyria and the land of Medes. The Apostle Peter speaks of Jews living in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (1 Peter 1:1), which were in Asia Minor (present-day Western Turkey) beyond the known borders of the Assyrian Empire. In all likelihood, when the tribes of Israel were taken they were dispersed throughout various parts of the Empire. Some were taken as slaves for some cities, the rest were taken to the outer reaches of the Empire. Many women would have had offspring to Assyrians and the bloodlines would have intermingled with that characteristic of those people. This has been demonstrated in the findings of genetic testing, even though hotly disputed. That there should be bloodlines commensurate with peoples that populated the Assyrian Empire ought to be expected and accepted as validation that these are members of the ten tribes of Israel.

Mixed marriages were common throughout the Old Testament, without making mention of Solomon. Samson was betrothed to a Philistine. Naomi’s sons married Moabite women (Ruth 1:4). The mother of Huram, the engraver, sent from the king of Tyre to Solomon, was of Tyrian and Danite and Naphtali descent. His mother’s parents were actually from the tribes of Dan (2 Chronicles 2:14) and had married a man from Naphtali who died (1 Kings 7:14) before marrying a man from Tyre.  The intermingling of our DNA tells us that people, whom we would not think to be related, are related to one another, even if somewhat removed. Eric Dubay, author of a book called The Alantean Conspiracy did research into family ancestries. He writes regarding the United States Presidents:

Actually, by branching out far enough on the presidential family tree, the dedicated researcher will find that all presidents share kinship, belonging to the same general ancestry, often called the 13th Illuminati bloodline, the Merovingian line, and/or the Windsor-Bush bloodline.[xxviii]

There are numerous views about the thirteenth tribe. That there were thirteen tribes is not questioned. What is queried is why Dan becomes the thirteenth tribe and is excluded from the list of tribes in the book of Revelation. A common theme is the Antichrist will come from the tribe of Dan. Here are some of the reasons why this is so:

1.       The key word, “heel,” connected the prophecies of Anti-Christ throughout the Bible.

2.       One of the Twelve Disciples who betrayed Yeshua is a type of the Anti-Christ.

3.       Judas as a type alludes to the fact that the Anti-Christ is from one of the Twelve Tribes.

4.       Judas was a seed of the serpent, which prophesies that the Anti-Christ is also a seed of the serpent.

5.       The Anti-Christ is from is the Tribe of Dan, a seed of Jacob, which is evidenced by …

a.        Jacob prophesied Dan will be like the serpent and will judge his people (Gen 49:17).

b.       Dan is missing from the tribes from which the 144,000 will be chosen.

c.        Judges 18 is a Parable that prophesies the Last Day and the Tribe of Dan Anti-Christ.

6.       The name, “Dan,” means “a judge,” which prophesies that Dan will be the instrument whom YHVH will finally use to judge both His people and their enemy.[xxix]

The difficulty with identifying which people belong to the various tribes of Israel is beyond dispute. What appears to be the greatest likelihood of anyone being a descendant of the tribe of Dan attempting to assume the role of ruler of the Earth is for someone to assume the right of the British Crown. The historical evidence points to the British Crown being under the belief that they are the descendants of the tribe of Judah. The coronation of British sovereigns upon the stone of Jacob is evidence of this fact. Moreover, the tribes of Dan and Ephraim are pinpointed to have settled in Britain; allowing for mixed marriages, we could have a British Royal ascending to the throne and demanding to be worshipped. In this scenario, his prophet could be a Rothschild.

I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed…. He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:11-12,16-17)

As part of the thesis of this manuscript the twelve tribes of Revelation form the male-child, which consists of those designated as the sons of God who are to rule with Lord Jesus Christ on his throne. Evidently, they are twelve thousand individuals designated as belonging to the twelve tribes nominated in chapter seven of the book of Revelation. If these individuals are to be genetically related to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, this is not impossible for God to achieve; even if we humans have no way of determining who belongs to what tribe. What is evident, the tribe of Dan is not included. If Dan were included, it would be the thirteenth tribe, the firstborn birthright bestowed upon Ephraim having reverted to Joseph. In all probability, a descendant of the tribe of Dan, the now thirteenth tribe, will be used to judge the people of the Earth, not as a righteous judge, but as the Evil One—aligned with the descendants of Ishmael—who has the right to exercise punishment on those who do not have the covering provided by the righteous blood of the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ.
