The Final Stronghold of Deception
Mystery
Babylon is not merely a place—it is a global system. It is religious, economic,
political, and spiritual. It is the culmination of all human rebellion against
God, disguised in luxury, piety, and false peace. Revelation 17–18 declares her
doom, but until her fall, Babylon intoxicates the nations with spiritual
adultery, mammon worship, and counterfeit unity. She is both a harlot and a
queen, a deceiver and the deceived.
This chapter unpacks the identity, influence, and eventual destruction of Mystery Babylon, showing how it connects with the casting down of Satan, the revealing of the male-child, and the purification of the Church. It warns believers not to partake in her sins and exhorts them to overcome through holiness and truth.
Jesus
Came to Destroy the Works of the Devil
The Gospel
of Salvation begins with this: “The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of
the devil” (1 John 3:8). Yet many professing Christians continue in sin,
ignorance, or half-truths. Babylon enables this deception. Her greatest work is
spiritual confusion—leading
people to believe they can serve God while indulging in pride, greed, lust, or
apathy.
Babylon provides a comfortable Christianity, one that emphasizes outward show over inward transformation. But Jesus did not come merely to offer forgiveness—He came to restore dominion, holiness, and truth. Those who remain entangled with Babylon remain outside the Kingdom, even if they profess belief in Christ.
Salvation
and Sanctification: Beyond Easy Belief
Being “born from above” (John 3) is not identical to entering the Kingdom of God. The thief on the cross was saved, but he did not enter into sanctified maturity. Many today believe, confess, and even experience a spiritual awakening, but they do not overcome.
Mystery Babylon thrives in this confusion. She promises security without surrender, grace without growth. But Scripture teaches that only those who overcome inherit the Kingdom (Revelation 21:7). The male-child is not every believer—it is the remnant that has submitted to the dealings of God, has been refined in the furnace, and walks in resurrection life.
The
Identity of the Male-Child and the Woman
Revelation 12 speaks of a woman clothed with the sun, in travail, giving birth to a male-child. While some interpret this as Jesus or the Church at Pentecost, the context suggests something future.
The woman represents the faithful Church as a whole.
The male-child represents a smaller company of overcomers—those who have allowed Christ to be fully formed in them.
The dragon, Satan, seeks to devour this child for it because of its members he can no longer accuse those who claim protection in the name of their Savior—the Second Adam and His seed now reign.
The child is
caught up to God and His throne—meaning they are both sealed and elevated in spiritual
authority. The woman is then protected in the wilderness, nourished during
tribulation. This typology aligns with the fall feasts: the child is born on
the Day of Atonement,
while the woman endures during Tabernacles.
Babylon:
The System Behind the Scenes
Babylon is called a mystery because she masquerades as righteousness. She wears religious garments, speaks spiritual language, and appears charitable. Yet her heart is full of:
·
Fornication: alliance with ungodly powers
· Abominations: doctrinal compromise and occult practices
Luxury: dependence on mammon and worldly glory
Historically, Babylon emerged from Nimrod’s rebellion and the tower-building project in Genesis 11. It continued through:
·
Babylonian
astrology and mysticism
·
Greco-Roman
idolatry and state religion
·
Medieval
Catholic control of kings
· Enlightenment humanism
Modern
banking empires and technocratic globalism
She is not merely Rome, Mecca, or New York City—she is all of them and more. She is the spirit of self-exaltation, clothed in the garments of religion, commerce, and empire
Financial
and Political Babylon: The Rothschild Connection
The Rothschild banking dynasty are the modern agents of Babylon. Their global reach, connections to the Balfour Declaration (which led to the establishment of Israel), and promotion of climate policy and central banking illustrate how financial power has shaped geopolitics.
Babylon's power lies in control:
·
Central
banks
·
Digital
currencies
·
Climate
governance
·
Global
debt
These tools are not inherently evil—but when wielded by a system that denies God and manipulates truth, they become weapons of oppression. The Antichrist system will likely use these mechanisms to enforce control and worship.
Islam
and Babylon: Ally or Adversary?
Islam is not Babylon—but it is used by her. The influx of Islamic migrants into Europe, the proliferation of Saudi-funded mosques, and the geopolitical chaos stirred by jihad serve Babylon’s goals:
·
Destabilize
nations
·
Drive
Jews to Israel
· Create religious confusion
Ultimately, Babylon will betray Islam, just as the harlot is eventually burned by the beast. The Antichrist will likely arise offering peace and unity—first through tolerance, then through domination.
The
Ten Kings and the Beast
Revelation 17:12 speaks of ten kings who rule for one hour with the beast. These are not merely political figures—they could represent economic regions, digital currencies, or global governance zones (like barcode zones, as was revealed to the late Mary Relfe).
They have one mind: to give their power to the beast. Babylon rides the beast—but only for a time. Once the beast has no more use for religion, it will devour her.
Babylon’s
Fall: The Day of Atonement
The fall of Babylon is tied to the Day of Atonement:
·
Satan
is cast down (Revelation 12)
·
The
male-child is birthed and caught up
· Babylon is exposed and judged
Just as the high priest entered the Most Holy Place to make atonement once a year, so in the last days, Christ will enter into judgment with the nations. Those not covered by His blood will be found part of Babylon and share in her plagues.
“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins and receive of her plagues.” —Revelation 18:4
The
Bride’s Call to Holiness
The Bride of
Christ is not confused with the harlot. She is chaste, holy, and set apart. She
is made ready through tribulation, tested by fire, and clothed in
righteousness.
Mystery Babylon is seductive—but her end is certain. The saints must:
·
Discern
the times
·
Reject
compromise
·
Embrace
sanctification
· Watch and pray
Only those who separate from her influence will inherit the Kingdom.
Out of Babylon, Into the Kingdom
Mystery Babylon will fall. Her riches, her seductions, her doctrines, her alliances—all will be judged. The Church must not merely lament her but depart from her. This is not just physical, but spiritual:
·
In
doctrine
·
In
worship
· In allegiance
The male-child is being formed. The Bride is being purified. The dragon is about to lose access. The Day of Atonement approaches.
The Spirit says:
“Come out of her, My people.”
Let those
who hear respond. The time is near.
